Where do I start for getting set up for accepting credit cards, and how much does it cost?

Your best bet is to talk to you bank, also check with any associations you belong to, they often have programs that are quite affordable

i have done a ton of research on this....Met with different companies......Finally I accept credit card right through quickbooks. The fees are the cheapest. Money shows up ontime....Very easy to do and by far the easiest and simplest application process. In under 20 minutes i was set up and running my first sale......Most of the commercial credit card processing compaines were outrageous in their prices, fees and equipment.....not to mention that their application for the account was more complicated and required more information than my mortgage application.

Setup a paypal account for free. You can place a "pay online" section on your website if you have one and customers can pay you right from the website. It does cost 3% I believe. I know they charge something, as I see it on my bill, but I'm not sure exactly how much.
