My dealer advised me that he has a 2003 Exmark HP left over
that was used for demo's (has 16 demo hours). The demos were
done on the dealers property under supervision and once to
our town to try around a public lake (park setting). He would sell
me the unit with full warrantee for $7200.00. While more money
than a new Toro Z100 ($5700.00) the Exmark seems of higher
quality. I plan to mow 2.0 acres around my home. Does this seem
like a fair price. The dealer is a nice guy and has always taken
care of any prolems I've had right away.

I paid $6600 for a new '03 LHP 23/52 last year. Dealership in Maryland.

Prices will differ all over the country. Also, if you are in the biz you will usually get a better price due to spending lots more money over time at the dealers.

With that being said, MSRP on that mower could be in the neighborhood of $7500 based on which motor is on it. 16 hours isn't even broke in. Its not a great deal but its probably close to regular price. I think I would try to get it cheaper from him.

Thanks for all the advise. I went to look at the machine yesterday
and other than a few old leaves and a torn armrest (will be replaced) the machine looked brand new. I got it for $6,800.00
w/full warantee, prepped and delivered. Also traded in my 9 year
old toro 32" rear engine rider.

My exmark dealer here in Western N.Y. quoted me $5700 for a 2004 52" CT and $7100 for a 2004 52" HP......good prices compared to some of what I have seen here. His prices even seem to get better in the fall.....
That's before tax, but all prepped, warranteed, etc.
I cannot say enough good about him.
He hooked me up with a person who had a 2003 exmark hp 52" that had only 4 hours on it, but needed to sell it. I bought it for $6000 cash, delivered yesterday.
He lost a sale by doing this, but it was the kind thing to do, to help this person.
It of course helped me out too, so I talked my brother into buying the exmark from my dealer that I was going to before this deal came along.
Anyway, I have this new exmark in my garage that I will not be able to use until at least May. It sure look pretty though.
