The Robotic Mowers

Anyone put any serious thought into these robotic mowers???

I don't even know if they come in commercial models, but it's sure fun to think about.

The ones I've seen are battery powered mulch only machines.You bury sensors around the lawn, place the mower on the lawn and let it go. With 3 or 4 machines you could place them in the front yard move on to placing the next 3 then come back just in time to put it into the back. :dizzy: Initial cost of installing the sensors would be high, but who knows.

Even better... just use one or two, you do the edging / trimming grab the mower and go!!!!!

Dont like it at all once they come down in price and perfect them do you think your customer is going to continue to pay for your services when he or she can sit on there porch and mow the lawn them selfs. Its gonna happen sooner then later..

yep, i always feared that this was bound to happen sooner or later.

however, the current machines are npt perfected yet so until the efficiency gets a little higher, i dont think that we are in danger quite yet.
