I like my 48 inch TTHP with 17 hp from Exmark.Plenty of power for me.Hustler SWBs have larger engines and are available with 48 inch decks.

You will have to wait for a high horse power 48 exmark like middle of 04 to 05 BUT if you can deal with a 52 THATS 52 Ultracut here it is!!!!!

hey thanks guys, I have a buddy who wants to start cutting too. do you think it would be better for him to get a used mower or buy a new one. he only wants to do like eight yards a week. nothing to over wealming huh?

I've been mowing 8 to 10 yards a week with a 22 in toro self propelled mower echo weedeater and echo blower about 750.00 invested 3 years latter I've made almost 16000.00 not bad return, but i worked for it but I'm moving up to a 48in this year. its whatever you want to do. I figure if you start small with a little investment get a good customer base. and grow gradually you don't stand to loose as much should unforseen circumstances arise. my 2 cents

well, if you just are into horsepower, you could always go with that twin dixie chopper thing, 50hp i think it is, some of the dixie experts would know. my 23kawi does fine for me.

ONLY hustler will give you a 23hp on a 48 in Walkbehind. (25hp on a 54in)
Hustler also has the largest tires of any waklbeind and the easiest controls to learn and use. Add a bullrider and you have the most versatile machine there is.
