View Full Version : How to upload/post a picture
chuckwk

Here are the basics steps.
1. Left click on Post Reply,
2. Type a message or short note in the "Your Reply" area,
3. Below the "Smileys" on the left going down the page you will see the area: "Attach file: to the right of that there will be a "Browse..." button, left click the button 1 time.
Now you will have a file from your hard drive open up.
4. Find the file/picture on your hard drive you want to post on LawnSite.
5. Double click or left click to select the file/picture, then hit the enter key.
6. You can then check your spelling or Submit your Reply.
If you picture is within the parameters of LawnSite.com 800 x 600, your picture will be posted, if not you will get a message that your picture is too large.
If you get the message that your picture is too large you will have to resize the image. You must have a software program that allows you to edit/manipulate images.

badranman,
That is because you are uploading .bmp files.... because of the file type, this is the only way they will display ... if you want them to load with the thread you must upload .jpg or .gif images ( you can easily convert your .bmp files to .jpg or .gif )
btw... please don't upload that pic of the snow coming out of the guys arse.

your image is not viewable by anyone but you... because you tried linking directly to the image location on your computer. ( file:///C:/My%20Documents/Green%20Grass%20Stuff/web%20site%20stuff/green2.jpg )

Image editor software like Photo Shop ... open .bmp image file ... then save it as a .jpg.
If you can't figure this out (or just don't want to) ... I will do it for you.... but, not the pic of the naked guy blowing snow.

This one of the trailer we have its 24'L x 8.5W x 6'H tandem axle very nice for several mowers (2) 61" scagg turf tigers & (2) 52" scagg walk behind & (1) 21" self propelled John Deer push mower, and all the (4) echo trimmers/ (4) echo blowers and every thing else we need to complete the job. Front Vnose is great for unloading walk behinds and easy asses while at the job

To anybody that's planting leyland cypress 6' apart in hedges - if so, you are causing a problem that will exceed the Port Orford cedar situation in the Pacific NW.
This is a lady's tree in Aloha, Oregon. Planted 21 years ago. You can't see it, but we measured the canopy at 45 feet wide, and my son is measuring here - it's a 30" diameter trunk.
It took 2 hours to limb it up to just that 8' or so and clean up.

Eeeeassy Aproct. That's not my kill. I just had it on my PC, and don't even remember where I got it (probably on LS). The guy who shot it was probably afraid not to kill it though. If he was deer hunting, I doubt he wanted to walk out in the dark after seeing that huge cat.

OK...figured it out for ya. Your pic was saved way too large to be posted here. It was 1632 x 1232.....the max size is 800 x 800. Resized it for ya and will email it to ya. If you have a photo editing program you can do the resizing of other pics easily. Most MS Office programs, Lexmark, digital camera programs have resize capabilities. Hmmm...I even saw one that was on-line...I will try and find it for you so you can use it.......You will see your pic here in this thread. You can also just save it from here by right clicking on it and then saving it to your pictures file.
Hope this has helped!

I don't understand where you're going with this pic. Are you uploading work at all or is all this stuff a bunch of things you made off the internet and projects you haven't done yet? Did you install that pool and reataining wall or what?

All you need to do this is post one at a time. If you have multiplte pictures is one post you will have to click on them to come up.

The way I did it was to "attach" the file and post the message, then go back and edit the posting, "right click" on the attachment like in your above post and "copy shortcut" from that attachment. Then type in (without the spaces inbetween): [ i m g ] (right click here and "paste" the shortcut) [ / i m g ] , then "save"

I have recently purchased a dixon 33 inch cut ztr and was able to transfer my drag over without any mods. I have also core aerated and reseeded with a ten percent ky bluegrass, ninety percent falcon 4 fescue. i am now working on new stripes and patterns in my yard. i have saw diagrams on how to do a true diamond but have never seen any pics. two dark stripes then one alternating on criscrossing diaganols. can anyone help me out.
