Is there such a thing??? The saying is that you want to take it easy on a new piece of equipment during the break-in period.
One time a snapper dealer told me that its a old myth and should'nt have to worry about a break in period.
I know when we buy new equip they get the snot worked out of them right out of the crate there isn't time to putz when there is schedule to maintain.......the only thing we do is change oil after 10 hrs or so to get out any metal filings that might be in there for manufacturing otherwise its balls to the walls.
