This technique is one that has landed me a few new accounts as of late. It might seem un-orthadox to some of you, so I'd like to share it and get your opinions.

Rather than nailing customers with large clean-up bills I've offered lower prices dependent on whether or not they continue to use my services. (e.g) I'll take $75 off of the initial cost in exchange I keep returning every week for maintenance.

Maybe I could've phrased that more clearly, but I think you get the jest of it.

What happens after the first 1 or 2 trips they cancel you?

I would only do that if they are willing to sign your anual contract. You may get soaked by a few.

Just a thought!

Too many people like to get something for nothing.

I should add that these are high-end residentials, the past 3 have been Dr's. I understand that doesn't mean much other than they can afford my services, but I feel they appreciate the fact I'm willing to prove why I'm billing them for 60/hr for a 1 man operation. Since I've taken this approach I've landed 3 new accounts this month, all high ends.
