does anyone know if cemeteries get sales tax for lawn care?
If you do it for a township or local government they would be exempt right?
If they are exempt how do you put them down on your tax return? do you need some kind of voucher?
Any help would be very appreciated

Thats a good question. Or atleast one I never thought of. My brother is a trustee locally. I will ask him as soon as I can get ahold of him and see what he says.

It doesn't matter whether the cemetery is public or private, they have to give you a form showing that they are tax exempt, it's like the form you fill out for your suppliers so you don't have to pay sales tax. As far as reporting it on your sales tax form the amount you are paid for tax exempt sales, goes in the space that says "exempt sales". Hope this helps.
If they are exempt, they need to supply you a copy of a tax exemtion certification that YOU need to keep on file for when you do taxes.
