Been in business since 1991.
Think it may be time to change my business name to clarify what I do.
Been operating under Spring Meadows Property Management.
So many call me wanting me to manage rentals (handle rent money, etc... not maintenance)
Thinking of changing it to Spring Meadows Lawn & Landscape, Spring Meadows Landscape Group or Spring Meadows Landscape Solutions.
My wife and I can't decide. What do you guys think?

Take the property management jobs. You can make good money, and still do your landscape jobs.

Out of the names listed, I'd go with "Spring Meadow Lawn & Landscape"
That name sounds the best in my opinion.
I'm currently in the process of changing mine to Clean Cut Lawn & Landscape.
Good Luck

Sounds like you do maintenance judging from your previous name. If you still do it, you should include it in your name.
"Spring Meadows Landscaping and Maintenance."

I have to say that I like metros idea of just changing management to maintenace. Looks good and not much of a change but enough that it paints the right picture. That is this hoosiers two cents.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing David. My company's name is John Erik Nelson Properties, LTD. It doesn't say what I do or offer. I mainly mow grass. I also take care of hanging plants.
Time for a change

one question you should ask yourself Indiana, are you going to do anything besides mowing & landscaping in the future? Because the "management" could do well if you get into these in the future; property patrols, irrigation, snow removal, sports turf care, nurserys, etc.

In this state, you have to be careful what you put on your shingle. If you call yourself a "landscape service" without a contractors license you're in violation of state laws and can be fined. Also, if you have "irrigation" in your business name without having your irrigation license your also in violation. So even if you plan ahead on doing something, you may not be able to include it in your business name until at the point that you're licensed. Check to see what is construed as "maintenance" or what "landscape solutions" may infer to.

Most likely I will changing my business name to:
Spring Meadows Lawn & Landscape
I cannot take the "property management" jobs with a real estate brokers license. Property patrols, irrigation, and security all require licenses I do not have or want.
Thanks for all the feedback on everything.
