Sticking your dozer miles from nowhere.

Worse: Throwing a track on the excavator while trying to get the dozer out!

Yikes, that's all too common it seems. My boss had to go dig out someone that go stuck. Dug them out with his backhoe! He's nuts. Doesn't use any other machine but that backhoe of his.

There is no real worries about sinking a machine in this area because its nothing but solid granite darn near. You guys in the east don't know the word dynamite and blasting :D

Walking the tracks off is a common problem if your running a machine with worn out tracks or too much sag in the tracks.

Had a old UH Hitachi excavator in our yard it was a big machine must have weighed 35 ton or more. The tracks on it was shot so to turn the machine you had to push down with the bucket so you swivel the machine on the back of the tracks.

I guess you've never been to Nova Scotia. Home of granite. Why, just 2 miles down the road is a golf course, "Granite Springs golf and country club". Just a couple of months ago we had some guys doing some blasting and they threw good size chunks across a 4 lane highway and into an appartment building. ;)

Where those guys are from you wouldn't see that it is the same with the prarie provinces of Canada.
