i am new to the biz and i am tring to think of a good name. is it better to have ones name start with the letter "a" so it will be at the top of the list in the phone book?

Most smaller businesses decide not to go in the phone book becuase of expense. I wouldn't really worry about what the name starts with more then picking something creative and catchy. Good Luck...

That is exactly how I came up with the name for my business. My name is not "Avery". Avery is the county I am from in NC and the "A" puts me first in the yellow pages. Has worked out well so far.

Brainstorm a lot of names and they run them by friends, family, or us here for ideas. Always brainstorm!
