Very nice! I need one with the side gate.

I had to reinforce the frame to add this side gate.
What bugs me is this is a new trailer! I took it to PA over Christmas to add the baskets and side gate. I painted it up there but the salt is causing it to rust already.

What equipment can you fit in there? I need one that size I think, but need to make sure a 60" lazerZ and a 36"TTHP will fit. Would also want a side gate like that for the 36". Think both would fit?

I will load 1 60" Bunton twister, 1 42" wright stander (side gate is 49 3/4" wide). 2 trimmers 2 blowers, 2 hedge trimmers 2 blowers and a water cooler in the morning. The front basket gets the backpack sprayer. The side baskets are for edger blades, string and 2.5 gal no spill gas cans.
I did put a 36 jd belt on the side but the gate rubbed the handles.
I will take a pic of it loaded in the morning and post.

You could have got one of the Bad Boys for half the price.

That's sweet, man! Does it include a Craftsman lawn tractor, or is it separate?

Hey T-Bar, now you just need an EZ Gate Lift for your Front & Side Gate.

I plan on doing that this weekend, but the springs are going UNDER the trailer routed via pullies.

I have been thinking about getting a couple ez gates, but are they really worth the money? Just curious

Por-15 would help with the rust and you would never have to worry about it again.

Lawndoc, does it work like Gempler's Rust Converter?
Speaking of trailers, A friend parked his little trailer here (about 5 months ago) and he's into me for aliitle money already, but he want's to trade it and 150.00 for a handgun I have. I'll try to take a picture of it tomm. (never tried to post a pic) and see what ya'll think it might be worth. Is built good. and has a stout gate, but to me it seems like the axle doesn't set back far enough.

it works the same although the por will be a little thicker than the gemplers. almost like a spray on lining. both work great though.

So....y'all think my 60" and 36" will fit on a 6.5 x 12?
ElephantNest,
I figured my 6.5 x 12 to allow a 60" and my 36" in with out any problems. I also plan on carrying a 21" and the other essentials. You should be O.K.
If you already have the 60" stop by somewhere and see if you can fit them both.

Here she is loaded!
The guys liked it a bunch. I still need to finish building the shovel/rake rack (the two black posts) that will also support the end of the extended pole saw/trimmer.

Great looking trailer! I have a 16 ft tandem with a side gate I can get a 36" JD wb a 52" Scag wb and a 61" Husqvarna ZT on the back Ihave the side racks for trimmers as well but seem to have problems snapping shafts in the weed eaters, I have startde putting them in the bed of the truck with the back pack blower after seeing your set up I want to add the front box and the side box to haul the gas and tools now i am using a milk crate. how big of a box did you put on the front? yor very creative thanks for the pics they give me some great ideas.

I like winter...dont sweat as much...that pic above is just before the crew started the route. This morning
The front box is about 4x2.5 I just used some angle and mesh with some square tubing across the center of the floor for support.

the reinforcements for the side gate is a 2-3"x5/8" c channels
that run from the axle up to the front. also 4 3x3 angle across(these were mostly to reduce flex).
the reason for this is when a big z pulls up on the back gate a lot of the stress is pulling on the top rail. I had a good chance of turning the trailer into a taco. Bending at the point where the top rail was cut for the side gate.

Tbarchaser, read in a search here that you were pulling a trailer with a Nissan 4 cyl. A friend of mine has one (2000 Frontier 4 cyl. / 5speed 15,923 miles) and was wondering what size trailer he could pull (once a week 45 miles each way to cut his mom's grass)
Figured I would ask here. I wasn't sure what to tell him. (his mower weight is around 600 lbs)

I pulled a 5x10 all year with a stander loaded without a problem.
