Sweet shop.. I could only wish mine would stay that clean. I think we have at least an inch of dirt on our floors. It's so bad I have to take the mowers outside a lot of times to start them and keep the dust down.

Yeah, I think you are right Mykster. So I merged kennyb's reply into this thread.

Sorry no a/c:( We will have one window unit for the office mgr (my wife). Thats why we put 2 windows in the office. Actually, the exhaust fan in the wall, plus R-30 overhead keeps the shop reasonably cool.

Outside pics of the shop?

What type of electricity setup do you have going on?

Turfdude

we have a 200 AMP service. Here's some outside pics:

here's the gated entrance 24' opening, gate is 36' long -- you get an idea here of the amount of fill we brought in here. You can see that when the gate is open fully, the bottom of the gate is above the top of the 6'fence along the stream. Eventually, I'd like to put an EP Henry wall up here and fill it for additional lot space, but thats a few years and about $20,000 down the line.

Looks really nice turfdude, you should look into purchasing a nice decrative sign to put out front to draw attention, maybe get some more customers.

Turfdude
03-18-2004, 09:36 AM
We have a double sided one on the side road to our place. This is a pretty busy road. The sign is about 3'X5' and has gotten us a few calls.

Thats an old neary grinder. I think I got it from landscaper supply. If I were to order one now, I'd probably get a magna matic!

Yes, old post. Still around, still in biz. Sold 2 trucks & a lot of equipment in pic. Have changed over to bobcat walk behinds, sold the '88 ford 150 & '90 dump, replaced w/ 99 4X4 F 250 w/ plow & '05 12' Isuzu cab forward dump stake. Added 7000# auto lift in one bay and 2003 LS 180 skid steer, more redmax equip and other toys (too many to list). Shops a little dirtier (this is the first year we have not re-epoxied the floor to date) and we've been a lot busier w/ installs.

Bob, I still have yet to make it over to see your shop, I've seen your guys around but have yet to see your Isuzu on the road.

where did you use to get you snappers from, Lowther's in edgewater park? we used snappers years ago.

Yes, I got all of my snappers from George. I still have a pro & 36 & 48... both run very well & start w/ 1-2 pulls. They are my back-ups. I sold a 36, 52 & my z-rider over the winter. I still have a good credit line & all w/ George, but he is a bit of a haul for me. Chris & Rodney as well as Geo. Jr are all still good mechanics. I usually go there for snapper parts only now which is not too often anymore.

We stopped lawn maintenance 2 seasons ago, so not to much need to go up there anymore. we switched over to lesco towards the end anyway. for service you can't beat George's place. he was like a45min haul for me, but when my machine when down, i knew he would fix it while i waited. it didn't matter if it was my z rider or my string trimmer, always got me in and out. wish they would open a store down here.
