I do not have a part # or price yet.
I will update LS as soon as I get it.

How well do the Hustler Super Z's stripe withOUT any sort of help? I was thinking of putting the chains on the back of the deck on the 2 Super Z's that I own. They are both brand new and I haven't even used them yet, so I'm wondering if I should go ahead with a striping kit.
Any ideers?
Thanks,
Jason

Northern grasses tend to stripe a bit better than our southern grasses. The chain kits add a little versatility, they are also great for breaking up cores left by aeration. You can also sound like Santa Clause while driving down the driveway. Heres what my chains do.

My partner and I are going to build a striping kit of somekind whether it be the chains or the conveyor belt type. I tend to think the conveyor belt strip would be a little better in the way that it wouldn't be so noisy. I'm kinda up in the air on it right now though. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...

I am going to try hanging a truck mudflap on the back of mine as a striper. Will let you know how it looks.

I know that some people are going to disagree (and that’s fine) but I try to stay away from using chains as a method of striping. Over time chains can and will mess up grass. Think of it this way, when you take a nail and drag it across a green leaf on a tree, the part that you cut will turn brown. Essentially, this is the same thing you are doing to grass over time, dragging things over it such as chains and wearing down the grass.

I have seen zero damage done to the turf by my chain kit. The chains are not aggressive. You will do far more damage to the lawn with the tires of any mower. The chains are more forgiving than any roller would be. (Just my experience)

Thanks pj.
Can not wait to get a new kit and try it out.

LS is having some issues this am, I had to wait a few minutes before it would let me upload it.
After the inital investment which appears to have a mounting kit with it, How long is the mat going to last and how much will the replacement mat last?
Thanks pj.
Is that the same kit Kirby has?
Kirby , how does it work?
Will the flap be sold as a part alone later?
How much does the replacement mat cost? Sorry it was hot yesterday and I'm still recovering from all the tree work I had to do.:o

The kit will come with everything you need to mount it.
The longevity of the mat will depend on what type of grass and what height you set it to stripe at, it is adjustable.
I do not have a parts breakdown yet on this kit, so I can not give you a replacement price, I will post it as soon as I do.

Will this kit work with the Humbolt rear baggers. Will this be available for the walkbehinds as well?

Yes the kit will work with any bagger attached or the tow hitch, you will just use longer bolts where the tow hitch installs.
No kit yet on the walks.

Any idea what kind of time frame for the stripe kit for the swb? Also for the fastrac?

It would be cool if it was able to flip up and out of the way when not needed. Looks like you could maybe add a wing nut and just loosen it and push it up under the anti-scalp wheels and tighten it back up to hold it in place. I'm not sure a wing nut would be able to tighten enough to hold it in place though. Still, it looks like you could just loosen two bolts real fast.
Maybe the Hustler engineers can come up with a way to make it easy.

I guess I should have patened my idea. Our area dealer sent pictures of my set up with the rubber flap and he told me they are using it now. I have learned a lesson. Next time I will keep my mouth shut. And send ideas directly to Hustler not my dealer.
Sure would be nice to get some regonition for it. It does work great. Check out my sight for some pictures of the results. I believe you will like it alot.
