This sort of seems like a no brainer but I need some input as I 've never owned a Gravely as of recent.
I came across a guy selling a Gravely rider (I think it's a 60") it's got a liquid cooled 23 kaw. The only markings on it say "Gravely Professional" on the engine cowling. He says he thinks it's about 3-4 years old (the serial # begin with 99.... so it may be a 1999 model). Starts and drives well (there's still snow here - so don't know how it cuts). The hydro controls on this unit come up between your legs (instead of on the outside - like Exmark's). This guy repairs snow mobiles and atvs - he knows the machine is worth more, but he only wants $1,800 for it. It's in real good condition. I'm not worried about it being stolen, etc.... or having hidden probs. This guy and his business are legit as can be.
My question: Is this a good deal? I'm sure the engine alone is worth the money. Has anyone used /uses this unit - how well does it cut. I've done a couple of searches on Gravely ZTRs and got some input that way - just looking for some more opinions. Thanks.

There is a similar new Gravely on Ebay at a very attractive price. Do a search and check it out. More money but probably a good value too.
