I think it looks great!
Is something that really draws your attention. It will also "stick" in a person's mind.

Honestly I'm not sure I like the logo or the name. I think I know your meaning behind the name: time cutters saving customer time by him not having to do thier own lawn care. But when I read it I think of a company coming in and racing through my yard to get to the next one. As for the logo, a comical clock mowing grass doesnt look like a professional comapny, looks like a young kid looking to get a little extra cash in the summer. Sorry to be blunt but its just MO.

I guess Wal Mart isnt a professional company since they now use a smiley face as part of their logo. After all, any kid could draw that.

Yeah I guess you got me there lol, JMO though the logo doesnt appeal to me.

But the question is, would it be something that you would remember after seeing it?

Just trying to be a little different from the rest. I think a logo with trees and landscape would be perfect, but a lot of companies already use that.

I like it and every logo I see makes me kind of wish me and my brother hadnt decided to save some money and design our own.

Okay you asked. I'm not crazy about it. As promower said, it doesn't "appeal" to me.
When I see a push mower in a logo or on a flyer, I just think of the neighborhood kid.
But then again, a customer doesn't think the way WE do, so it may make no difference to them. Who knows?.
Where did you get the logo? Make it yourself, pay someone?
Just incase anyone reading this isn't aware, there is a GREAT site for getting logos.
It's www.designoutpost.com , definately worth checking out.

it's in black and white and basic, but shirts, business cards and letterhead are colour.

gogetter-I have a push mower in my logo. I'm no neighborhood kid. I would say that 95% of my clients know nothing about the kind of equipment we use, just that the grass get cut. I have never been turned down for having a push mower for my logo.
But maybe your right. If I had a w/b of z for a logo, my business would florish and I would be alot richer. I guess I need to redesign.

Now don't get angry guy. I was just giving my opinion based on the many flyers I see passed out by neighborhood kids with push mowers on them. That's all.
I mean look at Jim Lewis and that guy that has hundreds of customers (the $21.95/cut guy, can't remember his company name). They only use 21's and I'd hardly say they are neighborhood kids! Just that when it's IN a logo, I get that impression.
Maybe it would be better if I came at it in terms of flyers rather then logos. I've seen many on flyers that were made by kids.
Like I said in my original post, this is probably more of a hang up by fellow LCO's and not home owners.
In the end, it doesn't matter what I think. It's whatever works for you. :)

I agree with gogetter. Image is everything!
Time Cutters, something you might want to concider if it isn't finished, is the cost for printing. Something with that many colors (I counted 5 colors) can cost a lot for screen printing. Another trick is to see what it looks like in greyscale.
Good luck,

Hi Time Cutters,
When I saw your logo I thought of a slogan. "Save time and have us cut."

I think the clock is catchy. He (or she) is like a mascot for a sports team. Most people can remember what mascot is for their favorite teams, and I think this would hold true in remembering your company. As stated above, the more colors the more expensive. My sign was about 40% more expensive with three colors as a one color one.

I agree with ZClark. I like the mascot approach. I did the same sort of thing with my "Green Monster". I drew by hand, and a friend recreated electronically. Has too many colors, but I don't use it all the time. Can be expensive to print with all the extra colors. I'm going to modify it to lessen the colors, and make it look acceptable greyscale.
I also get that feeling with the push mowes, but I don't think the customer cares. I have one that doesn't want me to use the 60" bobcat w/b cuz she thinks it will scalp her lawn, which it won't. She only wants to see 21" mowers on her lawn:eek:

Someone asked how I got the Logo. My wife and I contacted a graphic artist and we told him some ideas. From there he came up with some designs and we made changes and gave ideas and colors and after going through this a few times...
It was a little more costly then downloading ones or making it ourselves but really wanted it to be different and make our company stand out in peoples heads.
Thanks for the slogan ideas!

I like it!You could actually give away small clocks or watches as promotional items. With your logo on them of course.
