OPINIONS NEEDED

Ihave two stihls but needed one bigger
saw for bucking.(cutting big stuff on the grouud)
Went to lowes yesterday and picked up
apoulan pro 330 .Normally the gold pro
saws are pretty fair saw unlike thier(poulan) green
toys.
Saw lasted two trees.They took it back no problem
After looking at the specs on the Lowes poulan
pros Ive noticed that they are not the same
as the poulan pros sold by the dealers.
My real question is . Is it legal to
sell a saw like poulan pro 260 with
2.6 cid 42cc only lowes is 2.5cid 40cc
yet they still call it poulan pro 260.
Im going to be talking with people at
lowes more and any advice or knowledge

As long as they aren't claiming it has a bigger engine than it really does at the point of sale (in this case Lowes) then there probably isn't much you can do. There is usually a disclaimer somewhere in the paperwork that states that they can change the product at any time. If Lowes was advertising 2.6 cid at a certain price and they sold you 2.5 cid then you'd have something. You can always contact your local Consumer Protection Division of your State Attorney's Office if you are really jacked out of shape about this.

Northern Tool has a Poulan 3.7 Cubic Inch saw for $319.00 22" bar take a look looks like a fair saw.

To really under stand you would have
to see it.Even the box say 2.5 40cc
while sticker on saw says 2.6 42cc
The real reason im bothered is that
i know the two engines and believe me
the 42cc has proven much better of the
two.They put the 40cc in some of thos
green saws.Oh well we ll just have
to play it out.I appreciate your responce
