View Full Version : Which Walk behind?

At the end of last year I purchased a Z500 60" 27 kohler(only 1.8 hrs) mounted a exmark roller as well, with the intention of mowing my own yard 1 acre and a bunch neighbors for some cash on the side. Unfortunatley it doesnt look like time will permit... So I am looking into buying a walkbehind for just my own property.. I am looking at 48" or 52" Scag, TOro and Exmark..
I dont want hydro, gear is good enough. Do I need to have a floating deck or is fixed ok?
Any help on machine and prices will be greatly appreciated....

Check out an exmark metro 48". This is gear driven and it has a fixed deck, perfect for your own yard. It should run around $2900 or so. Check out www.exmark.com

Thats a good deal. Remember this is a commercial piece of equipment so with your usage it will last a very long time!

Yes, that is a good deal. I currently have that exact machine. It is awesome. The ECS, is very easy to operate, far better than pistol grip controls. The floating decks are nice also but for your own lawn you should be fine with a fixed deck.

$2,000-$2,500 for a 48 in walkbehind. If you spend more than that.........be sure to use K.Y otherwise it's gonna hurt.
