View Full Version : Double Blades possible on Lawnboy Commericial?

I was wondering if it is possible to put double blades on a commercial Lawnboy. Last year, I put a gator blade on a commercial lawnboy and was very impressed with how well the blade worked and the nice cut it left. I was wondering if put the gator blade and high lift blade would help even more in reducing clipping size and so on.

I had tried the atomic mulch blade on a toro proline 21" but was not impressed with the cut. The gator blade put on the lawnboy won't fit on my toro proline due to the bbc component.

Does anyone have any ideas as to whether this can be done?

Hi Joe, it can & has been done.

You need to use a non-LB blade on top due to the lip on LB blades. I generally use an eXmark 18" solid foil. You can't use the gator because the serrated fins will hit the housing.

Works great w/mulch kit & discharging.
