I use all Shindaiwa eqip., but, I did get to demo several Kawasaki hand tools at Expo.I love the Kawi motors on all my mowers, and if I were to switch, that's who I would switch to.

Switched to all kawasaiki trimmers last year and I like them alot. They are lightweight and have plenty of power. The only problem I ever had w/ them was when I put rapid loaders on them. I think it was the crappy ones I used. I personally would not use the Deere ones unless they were giving them away, and I would still have to think about it.

JUdging from my experience with Kawi mower engines, atv's, and a dirtbike that I own or have owned, I'd go with Kawi in a minute. However, I do have to disagree with the negative comments about Deere. I run all Deere 2-cycles and wouldn't have it any other way. They are reliable, well-balanced, powerful, smooth-runing, and all that. I have used other brands, but I like Deere the best.

Not only are the Kawasaki's light but they are quiet. And the handle is very handy for edging. I am on my second Kawasaki weedeater. The first was stolen last year.

i didn't mean that the deere's were bad equipment, they run as well as some others, but if money is not a concern, why not get a red max, which runs better?

I run all kaw handhelds. Have had a total of 4 line trimmers. Got 2 26ers first then upgraded to the 32s. More power and an extra inch in the lenght. Love them dearly. And i run, kaw back-pack blower, kaw pruner, kaw eder.
