20hp Kohler with a 61 in. deck may not be the hot setup. I wouldnt buy it before i could try it on a growing lawn.

oh, I'm so stupid, sorry i didnt read

Why is the seller selling? Something could be wrong. I have a 61 in but I have more HP. I'm not a big fan of bobcat. I think my biggest quesion is why is he selling?

The seller is a dealer that also rents these bobcats out (various sizes). It's only been used as a rental. By the way, it's a 22 horse, perhaps under powered?

From the prices I have ben seeing doing demos past two weeks it is a very good price. Just make sure the mower is still in good overall shape, the hours are low so there should not be any problems. It might be a tad underpowered depending on what you are planning to cut with it. I wish it was offered to me, I would buy it.

I think it is under powered, but if that is in your budget, go ahead. If you can spend another $2,000 you may could get a newer mower with more power.

What kinda equipment are u running now?

I think its a little under powered, but if you cut every 7 days and it is fairly level you may be ok. The spring may be a little slow with fast growth. If its the best you can get its ok but if you can afford a little more $ or have the time I would hold out for a little more hp. At least 25 or maybe 27 would be good. The hours aren't bad for the price. Just don't expect miracles in taller or wet grass.

My guess is this is a residential member and he is looking for a mower to cut his 3 to 5 acre lawn. That is why I think this mower will be a great deal for him if it is in good condition. a friend of mine has been using a Bobcat 61" for several years on his own property and he loves it. If it indeed for commercial usage it will probably not be the best choice for the applications he will run into.

I will be using it strictly for residential use and the 2.5 acres are completely flat. Is the consensus that it is a bit underpowered, but if I mow every 7 days, it will work well?

If it is strictly for your residentual lawn it should do a fine job.
