A week or so ago I posted a thread asking for comments on our proposed truck lettering. Now, we've refined the idea a little better. I would like some opinions on the new proposed lettering changes....
There will be 4 sets of pictures. Here is the first......

Here is set #2.....

I like the current one, it seems more simplistic and easier on the eyes. Hope that helps.

And set #3 (our work trucks).....

Set #4 (Our Trailer Signs).....

I like the proposed second set ,Jim. The only one I'm not sure of is the trailer signage. It looks too bare above the ph.# and web. Maybe bigger fonts, or some artwork in between them ?

The idea behind the truck lettering change is to match our new forms more. We have totally re-designed all of our estimate, bid, invoice, letterhead forms and part of the new design is the tiltled logo with the circle around it - in the background - as a watermark. Here is an example....

Like the current lettering the best.
I have a Dodge quad too with lettering on the doors, in my opinion though the lettering would look better on your door rather than the half door, but thats just me.
Anyway your trucks look pretty sharp either way.

Yah, I agree. That's one thing I've asked the designer to show me - is how it would look with the logo on the door. I am still waiting for that picture.

Jim, I like the new one better. It grabs my attention and is more memorable. Now people dont have to read the writing to know its you, they will associate the circle with the stripe through it as your logo. Keep the new one.

I personally like the "current one", even though CNYScapes has a point about how people relate to symbols. But I look at it as... Your "Current lettering is simple and uniform on all vehicles/trailers (which in a way resembles a type of "symbol" that people are ALREADY use to seeing.
Your new letter head (very nice!) has the same font w/ white circle, so it flows right with the current vehicle lettering...
o... by the way... LOVE the CHEVY!!!! Wish I could find one by me in that condition to work out of!

I still think I like the original better.
I like the current one, it just stands out more.

One more vote for the current lettering, Jim.
Let it Grow

I like the current lettering better, but if you are changing everything else to the new style, then I would change it all. Lie the others said, people will know who it is just be what the logo looks like without having to read it. In my opinion you should make your logo exactly the same on everything.
I'd go with the new logo on everything...trucks, forms, shirts, etc.
Great logo, and great looking rigs by the way!

I agree with gogetter...........the first one looks better
02-29-2004, 05:53 PM
I like the current design a lot better. It just looks to me like something is missing in the second design.
02-29-2004, 05:55 PM
Jim, I vote for the first on as well. It just looks better that the other.
02-29-2004, 06:16 PM
Like the current one myself.
02-29-2004, 06:26 PM
I vote for the current design and I love how made that Chevy into a real beauty!
02-29-2004, 07:13 PM
I like them both. If I had to pick I would go with the current design.

Well Jim, the consensus is the current one....
I have to agree............ If something works, dont fix it....
People have associated your current logo with your company for years. Why change it? Its ok to change letterheads, invoices etc...
Personally, I wouldn't change the lettering on the trucks an trailers....Do you think you will gain more buisness by the change? If you dont, why spend the money changing something that already works? jmo......
