carpet grass

looking for info on "carpetgrass", as its called by so many. I believe it to be centepede. It has runners, long ones, and it is dormant in winter. Compounded blades. Tried to take pics, but no cooperation due to the lack of light. Anyone got a website on grasses they'd like to share?
