WOW! those are really low projections....I am about to do a walk&knock with that many flyers and I am hoping for a larger response....

average response is as stated about 1-3%
depending on how many people you can actually talk to, it goes up, but just plain jane leave the flyer and go, 1-3% sounds about right.

So.....1%, 1000 flyers.....10 calls.

We can't all be mathematicians.:D

I think 1%-2 % if it is a good looking flyer with some coupons on it.

Yeah the first time I handed out flyers I thought I was going to get flooded with calls, what a dream.

Out of 500 I passed out in the fall I got 3 calls, last spring it was 5 calls all season out of 600 flyers.

It all depends on your location and how many other lcos are in your area passing out flyers and advertising.

The best way here is the yellow pages

Hi ToddS,

If you get 3 new customers and they tell their friends how you do such great work, then they will tell their friends and so on. So keep at it :)

Ive been putting out flyers lately, about 1000 total and have signed two customers and had two other calls. I think one might have been a LCO checking me out.

We have had good luck with flyers. We had a company hand out 1500 flyers for $166.00. It took them 3 hours with 5 guys doing it. We got about 20 customers. Don't be fooled into thinking that 500 flyers is not a lot, it can take up a lot of your time. Besides, finding a good, trustworthy flyer distributor is better when you are just starting out, than later when you are too busy to take the time to find a reputable one. If you do hand out your own, remember, lawn guys have to use the sidewalks and not take shourtcuts through someones yard! This can increase your output time. I am actually looking forward to handing out this batch of 6,000.

Good Luck!

10 calls per thousand, & 1 to 2 new customers.
You'll do better offering a special for first time customers, or senior discounts, or a ?? for referrals
