Called the local dealer today for a quote on a 52" 23 HP Kawi today. 6300.00 out the door, well plus tax. I am feeling this is a good deal. The exmark with the same specs was 7700.00 plus tax. Whatcha think?

Is that with the suspension?

I was quoted today on a Ferris 1000z NOT the suspension 21 hp 48"cut. $6299. He'll probably go $5999 though. Good luck.

Yes, his is with the suspension. I would say it is a good price if you can get the cannister filter installed. The OEM Kawi air filter system sucks!

You can do even better than that. Last April, I bought a couple of Ferris 1000 Z's (no Independent Suspension), with a 61 inch deck, 23 hp Kawi for $6100 plus tax. And my dealer told me a month or so ago the same deal was still available.

Rodfather,

What would be a reasonable price on the 1000z 21hp/48"? No suspension.

Thanks.

Rodfather,

How do you like your machines compared to other manufactures? Exmark, scag, bunton etc. Do you mulch with yours? All the more information the better..

Tim

Eric,

Could you post that link you refered to on the phone earlier about the canister filter on Exmarks website?

Actually, I don't know. I buy a lot of Ferris machines (WB's mostly and a couple of Z's) over the years (probably 15 or more by now) and thus get very good pricing from my dealer.

Since I have never used any other Z's Tim, I can't really offer a comparison. I only side discharge with our Z's

Your dealer should be able to contact Kawi and get the exacts for your motor.

Okay, I have got them down to 5995.00 for a IS1000Z w/52" 23hp Kawasaki. That is the best he'll do. I have to purchase the Donnelson Air Filter kit for his cost but what the heck. I think that is a good deal.
