What size of zeton are u going to get? Also what are the difference between the 04 series and zeton series 25hp kol. 60" cut. Do they have a new make out this yr.?

I am getting a 25 hp kohler 60" deck, J.S.

The difference between the zetons and 04's is that zetons have hydro pumps and wheel motors Which is a LOT better than the 04's hydro transmissions. also the o4's have smaller tires and they have a tendency to throw hydro belts. We quit making 04's end of last year. a Zeton will run circles around it and you wont have near the problems with a zeton.

We do have a new mower coming out we just shipped out all the demos to the dealers, It is a country clipper Charger it is a zeton drivetrain and front pivot axle on a jazee body.

I just bought a zeton 27hp 60" deck today my dealer said it would be in the end of the month...

You made a good purchase. You bought the same mower as i did but i had the 25 kohler put on mine cuase it uses less gas and There is no reason for the 27 unless you get a boss w/ the 72" deck or need the extra torque for some reason. The zeton is the best mower we make and it should last you a very long time.

rvrdvr, is the Charger supposed to replace the Jazee Brat (now D/C'd)? I'm looking to replace my 15yo JD 175 Hydro and was considering the Jazee or JazeeTwo (if still available). I have almost 2 acres; mow half of it regularly, the rest occasionally (can get pretty high) except for the perimeter and a winding path. Is there a preference for the Kohler or Kawasaki twin? I'd consider a used Zeton (especially since my son usually mows a neighbor widow's smaller yard ) but haven't seen any in my area (east of Dallas). Thanx...

the charger somewhat replaces the brat but you can get chargers in larger HP to like 25 Kohlers, 25 Kawys, 23 Kawys, 23 Koh, and so on. I think a used Zeton would be the best or a new charger, the hydros and pumps will last 5000-7000 hours on them and only 700-1000 hours on a jazee. A Zeton is the best mower you will get in my opinion I just love mine I park it next to my jazee and The jazee looks like a little POS. I still like the jazee I just try to keep them separated LOL.

I have a 17hp Jazee, 42" deck. I am in love with the flip up feature. Unit runs good, mows good and joystick makes it fun to operate. After having riding tractors for years, can't see why anyone would want anything but a ztr.

SM, Do you have any overgrown areas, or a relatively well-groomed yard? A friend is looking at the JAZee and for his almost manicured turf I've told him that 17 hp is more than adequate (he's also considering the 2048 JAZee).
Also, how much side overhang does your deck provide? If you mulched and baffled your discharge chute, would your 42" deck extend beyond the front/rear wheels and allow for close-up trimming on both sides? (I only ask because the JAZee specs indicate 41.5" width for the rear wheels.
rvrdvr, would you know how this would also apply to the JAZeeTwo and Charger (especially the 2048KOJC)? Thanx...

My yard is well-groomed, average size, about 175 by 200. The Jazee 17 hp is perfect for me. I run the mulching kit all the time. I haven't measured the width of the deck with the kit on it, but I can get close. Unless a person had a really large yard, the 42" is all someone would need. And it fits through 4 ft. gates. I can mow as fast as I can stay on it. It's an 8 mph mower, and really quick after having tractors for years. I just love the deck; just flip it up and turn the hose on it. I went to the Tulsa Home and Garden Show recently and looked at almost every brand of ZTR. I still would buy the Jazee; it's simple, tough, thick steel and wouldn't give up the joy stick. It's just flat fun to use!
