Winch?

Just a thought.......

Has anyone used a winch to pull out shrubs? Will it work? How much power (lbs) would be ideal if it does work?

Well, what are you going to mount it to? The smart thing would be to hook it up to a powerful/rather large truck. So just use that truck to pull them out.

I use the warn 8k winch on my jeep to pull just about everything.
On my own property I am clearing 7-8-9 year old pine trees for a horse paddock. For customers I have pulled many shrubs and bushes out. The winch has paid for it self many times over by doing this.

i have used a 2 ton come a long many times. do not have to be able to get truck in area. chain off to a tree and chop around bush with ax. as bush starts out chop roots as needed.
