I went to a seminar on boxwoods at the local extension office yesterday just to get some points. It was a major eye opener. I used to hate boxwoods, but I think I'll get more involved. Anyone out there know much about them?

I use them a lot in my area. They are very heat and drought tolerant. They provide color during the winter and are very low maintenance.

I use them all the time . Japanese, Japonica, Wintergreen are the type used in Texas. They are very good for accenting Camellias,Elaeagnus, and Hollies. Cutting them in round ,square or any shape you like. We have very hot summers and it is nice to see good green plant . :D

Boxwoods are a great shrub, they can be used in many different places, very tolerant to many different conditions and fit in almost in any landscape. There are a couple different types of boxwoods, but they all work well.
