I get to have fun the end of this week taking out 53 Washington Hawthornes, Crabapple, and Pear trees. Not looking forward to it. Thought that I would pass it on.

Good time of the year to do it, at least. Be careful with the hawthorns.

Are you chipping them or hauling???

After I cut them I am just moving them onto another section of the customers property. They want to use them as brush piles for rabbit hunting

Hope you will be in compliance with ANSI 133.

Basically you need to make sure you will have full PPE, unless you plan on cutting all of these trees down with a handsaw.:)

Have fun and stay safe.

BTW, check out http://www.arboristsite.com for a lot of information about proper felling techniques. Do a search for "hinge" or "backcuts" or "felling", etc, etc, in either the commercial or chainsaw forums. You'll be amazed at what you find...
