Walker Bogging Down

I am fixing a Walker model MCGHS, ser. 40076 with a 16hp engine. When I drive into 3"+ grass the blades stop. I have not had a chance to get under the machine and I don't have a manual. Is there a drive belt that is possbly worn? I also need to find a local dealer because I need to get a new grass catcher exhaust deflector. I live in C. Texas.
