Ok nobody can agree on which company makes the perfect ZTR,
so lets build our own LAWNSITE ZTR. Just put down sone ideas
of things that you would like to see on our new mower!
First things first it's gotta have a deep deck with plenty of air flow so it will have a great cut, after all it's the
LAWNSITE PERFECT ZTR!
Good Luck!

It needs the DC VTC hydro system on it. :D

Id give it the Ferris's IS suspension-but with a 27 Kawi L/c engine, the DC's extra cooling and filtration, and a deck like that of the BUSH HOG mulching dual blade deck, with 2 sets of conter rotating blades that can mulch into dust, and have a discharge chute, with the abilty to take off the top blades to discharge.Id like to have a PTO on the front of the ZTR too,to run blower, snowthrower, chemical pumps, and broom attachments that are available.Make the machine able to accept a 60 or 72" deck,on the same chassis,so you can pick and interchange them if need be.

Put a 3 pt hitch on it too!

I actually like the 3pt hitch idea.
My fear is when we're done, we'll have a piece of equipment that is more complex than the space shuttle and costs as much as the GDP of Portugal.

we have to keep the weight down,3 ph wouldnt work-require to strong a frame and big hydro pump with valving and large resivourfor fliud take up.

Air ride seat with adjustable lumbar.
Operater controled rear discharge chute.
Blade tip speed of 19000+ who cares about regulations,
Lawn mower speed of 20 mph in transport mode 15 in mow mode.
An electric weed eater mounted on the left to weed eat around stuff while you mow.
Head lites.

Don't forget that the deck must be self-cleaning.

How about a steering wheel? Are any of you tired of those sticks. They hurt my elbows on long 2 hour type cuts.
I like the 3 pt hitch idea as well as the front and rear PTO option.
Flip switch control to engage mulching baffals and discharge shoot from like side to rear or closed.
One carrier frame that excepts all decks and optional equipment.
A optional bat wing mower deck attachments for the sides that can be put on and off as needed with pins in minutes.

How about it being a hovercraft so wet conditions & turns won't be a problem? Homer I like that air conditioner part for dust.

A deck that lets you flip a switch and can discharge the other direction. I like the surround sound idea.
How about a laptop, so you can be on Lawnsite while your cutting!

Remote control. so you would'nt even have to leave the air conditioned cab of your truck.

Cant forget the PIAA driving lights in the front and rear for cutting at dusk. definatly a cup holder, maybe and onboard foot massager. Seat and hand warmers for those chilly fall and spring days.
FULL FLOATING DECK with casters so it rides independently of the mower, and a back roller like a Massey Ferguson and Simplicity.

Make sure that the casters on the deck are the ones that can turn around, like the 1999-2000 Ferris IS ztr's, so that they dont dig into the turf when you turn.
