A few posts in the past have asked forum members how much they earn in a season. Not many people (myself included) are going to give out what they personally earn in a year. My feeling is that's nobody's business but mine.
However, I think it'd be interesting to know how many full-time/part-time employees (in addition to yourself) you may have, and what your expected GROSS for 2000 is. Not NET, and not what you personally make...just GROSS. I figure most of us are small businesses grossing less than $150K.
In fact, don't even be specific. Just give a range for an answer. I.E. Under 50K, 50K-75K, 75K-100K, 100K-150K, 150K-200K, 200K-250K, 250 and above.
I'll start...this year it's just my partner and I plus one full-time employee and we expect to gross around 140K-150K. Last year we had three full time employees and grossed 175K-200K. We're full-service 12months a year.

I'll be next.
I guess I would fit in the 50K to 75K end. We are really rural here. A good year is 75K gross.
I have myself and a partner.

Under 50K, working about 20 hours/week OTJ, 30 hours/week including paperwork & maintenance.
Six months ago, I made the same working 40 hours OTJ, 60 including support work. Now, I'm riding out the string and hoping to inject additional changes come Spring.
Ask me again in another year. ;)

50-65K with p/t helper. 85K gross 2 years ago, but will net more this year. New mantra is "gross less net more".

We must have a lot of shy members here. Anyone else want to post a reply? So far it looks like there's a pretty good mix of figures as far as gross profits go.

First year on my own.
1 full time- 1 part time
Goal in beginning was to gross 75,000
A'm now at 87,000- probably hit 100 by end of year-maybe?
couple small lots to clear
I'v probably bought atleast 30,000 in equip. this year to get going, so profit is small

This year, I will do about $26,578,980.00 by myself. I found a great money making idea in November down in Florida. I hauled my pickup and D/C down to Broward and Palm Beach county where I mowed liberals and vacuumed "chads", making a fortune. I hauled the debis inland to a cattle farmer, where he spread the "chads" out on his fields. Seems like he had a problem though, his bulls started having gas and a serious bull s*it problem. Then I hauled the bull s*it back to the courthouses where the crying liberals recycled it. It's so fun to make big money off of a liberal. For you liberals who actually believe I did this, go ahead and take me to court, I dare ya.

I grossed about 35,000 this year.
Part time, 1-2 workers.
Like Rick said, "Not to bad for a teenager"
I am planning on doubling that next year, I already have some new lawn accounts lined up for next year and a couple nice landscape jobs. Plus I'm going to do snowplowing on my own next year so I should at least hit the 50,000 mark.

The young guys seem to be doing pretty good for themselves, and with the help of info on this forum should be successful should they decide to make it a career.
