Mulching over monkey grass?

cut back to about 1.5 inches. OK to cover with 3 inches of mulch or work around them?

Whole mess of vinca has also been cut to the ground, any suggestions on mulch application? Thanks....

If the liriope is planted in clumps you will be ok with mulch. If it is a mass planting I would not apply any type of mulch. I would not apply mulch over the vinca either.

It will flush out in the spring and (in my opinion) applying mulch with slow down the growth process.
