Guys how many yards of soil are needed for about a 2,500sq. ft. yard. And how deep should it be when spread
Any help would be great
2,500ft2 at 3" deep would require 23.5 yards. What are you doing? Sodding, seeding, just leveling? Need more info really! Thanks and hope this helps.

Sorry it's a customer of mine he's reseeding his yard and wanted to know how much soil to buy
DBLC thank you that does help
unless he is tring to fix water that is standing, I would recomend 1/2" to 1" at most. I don't know his soil type though.

DBLC Thanks I just talked to him he is only going to till it to 1"
He wants to level his yard out out & re-seed
1 more question is 8 yards enoughto do what he is asking? I think I got it right with a mulch calcuator on the net but i want to double check with someone else
yes 8 will do it. just divide the thickness (1") by 12 and that changes it over to inches. Example 12divided by one is .083. Takes that # and mulitply by 2,500 and you get 207.5. then divide 207.5 by 27 and you get the total # of yards whick is 7.69 Hope this helps. If you want to incress the thickness just incress the 1" to 2 or 3 etc.

3" of soil is a little more than double what you need IMO. Remeber there is soil in Sod.. I use
Go to Supply for Topsoil calculations
