How long do u guys give your potential customers to approve and estimate? Do u use the same amount of days for cutting and landscaping or different.

It depends. I have one thats been out there for 2 1/2 months on a larger vacation home development, 522 homes. It's getting to the point where I may have to pull the bid if they wait much longer because I need to be gearing up for it now. But for a smaller residential probably a week.

Prices are only locked for 7 days. After that, the entire quote is open to price increases from vendors, fuel increases, suppliers, etc., and any necessary labor adjustments that may need to be added. I allow up to 30 days on commercial accounts due to the many channels you must sometimes deal with to reach tthe appropriate people, but residential is strictly 7 days.

Mine is very close to impactlandscaping. I do leave some commercial open as to the gyrations sometimes required re 'who's on first'.
For the Residential, same as impactlandscaping but I also provide a statement in red ink at the VERY bottom that reads...
If this quote is approved in less than 48 hours, customer receives automatic 15% discount on this quote and 10% on next project scheduled - this 'special new customer offer' will not be repeated.
Works very well for us.
btw - the 15 and 10 percent, of course they are figured into the quote to start with - for the new customer to exercise the 48 hour discount option or for me to 'knock off' cost to secure the deal if necessary - its all in how you play the game - by the customers rules or YOURS!

2 weeks residential. 39 days for commercial. I have a statement for residential.
Right at bottom of quote. I will honor every quote for entire year, I will add 10-20% if it is 2 weeks after I give it.
I will have several with the 10-20% after there old one quit.
