View Full Version : Who does the setup on a new engine?

Who does the setup on a new engine? Is the governer adjusted by the manufactuer or the mower dealer.

I'm asking cause on a mower we just bought the governer kept surging or hunting or whatever you wanna call it and the dealer said that it was normal as long as the blades weren't on,but since I readjusted the governer and stuff it runs fine.

The engine is a 25 hp Kaw.

My 27hp lazer gets a little of that when the pto is off

My 25hp Kaw doesn't surge or anything with the pto on or off. I'd take it to a different dealer and see what they tell ya.

Mine is fine now I had to adjust the governer the dealer's mechanic asked like it was normal. But it didn't do as bad when we took it to him. It never does .
