how did most of you all get your fertilizer customers

I was wondering for obtain your fertilzer customers what marketing worked for you the best. phone book, direct mail, word of mouth, you cut there lawn, etc. I'm looking to expand this part of my business.. It's just going slowly for the calls. Lawn cutting calls come in pretty well, I can't upsell most of them customer because they don't worry a lot about the quility of there lawn that much. I have upsold a few though. Thanks.

yep, if there was a definate formular....well there would be a lot more companies as compition. :)

Good advice TCM. I`ve found being in business it comes together when you are persistant. I believe there is a fine line between being professional and being good at doing business . The vendors I use may cost more for products but I like the people ,they treat me good . Works both ways.
