I'm in the Richardson, Texas area (a little north of Dallas) and a customer is asking me for Midnight Mulch. My nursery and my backup nursery don't have it. Anyone know where I can gfet this stuff? Thanks.

I'm guessing you're talking about what we call jet black mulch here. Its mulch that has charcoal mixed with it??? Try Home Depot or Lowes.

Yeah I heard today from a guy HD might have it. I read that its decomposed leaves (year old) and tiny shreds of thing-thin bark mulch. I'll just do the HD thing, although most of the time you can't beat their prices for bags of mulch.

Midnight Mulch is a trademark of The Mulch Company out of Nashville, TN. It is a mixture of hardwood bark, charcoal ash, and some leaf compost. I personally would stay away from this product, mainly due to the fact that it has charcoal ash in it. If you do have to use it, prepare to get very dirty and do not wear any clothes that you want to keep clean.

You get it at midnight landscape supply, bring a flashlight and bolt cutters.
