New to the Game!

First year out! Will my cheap Buyers tailgate spreader work fine with bagged salt? Also, who started with a Buyers tailgate spreader? What are their drawbacks?

I've got one that I hardly ever use,but it works fine when I do.Draw backs are that they don't hold enough salt and that salt has a tendency to leak out the little bottom auger and there is no way to shut it off, at least on mine.I also have an older western stainless and I like the buyers better.Oh and one other thing, make sure you use your lid tie downs I have several extra lids from others who haven't.
