I am looking to buy a new truck on Monday. I have looked at all 3 Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. I just about got the same price on all 3 of them with the same options. I am looking at a 3/4 with 4x4 and 4 door to pull my enclosed trailer 7x16. The Dodge Hemi has the highest horsepower and torque than any of the other ones. Anyone using the Hemi and what do you think. The Ford has 260 horsepower and 350 torque, the Chevy hase 300 horsepower and 360 torque and the Dodge is at 345 horsepower and 375 torque. Which one would you go with as far as motor goes not looks????

I think if i was gonna go 3/4 ton i might consider a diesel but that is my 2 cents worth, any reason you want a gas engine over a diesel?

I'm a diesel man, and a ford man. I would have to go with the one with the most torque, and pray these are correct figues.

I don't own one but I have driven a few and towed a few trailers with the hemi. I like it. It will do what the chevy and ford can't. If not the hemi, go with the ford though. If you want a gas engine, go with the hemi. I am thinking along those lines too when I go to buy a new truck.

get the Hemi.I have a 2003 dodge Hemi.It has around 14,000 miles on it and gets around 10-12 mpg with trailer. The growl of the engine sounds great.

Maybe im just biased to a diesel but my straight piped Ford has got a mean growl and that turbo sounds so nice next to a gas burner.:)

I am also looking into the Big 3 for my truck. Just lost a chance at a 97 Silverado 4x4 with 98 grand on the truck, all the bells and whistles for $9700. My mechanic buddy said offer him $8500, dont go over $9000. I offered the guy $8700, he said I paid $9200, I need $9700. Funny thing is, he has had the truck for 6 weeks! Its a guy my dad knows pretty well so we were intrigued by the truck. I said have fun, you wont see $9700 at all, especially since it has some electronic fuel pump issues and the fact you keep telling people what you paid for it. Idiot.

I'm a Dodge fan. Just test drove a 2004 Dodge 2500 HEMI the other day and loved it. It will tow almost 11,000lbs that should be more that plenty for most landscapers.
