Exmark Identifaction

I just picked up a 36" Walk behind Exmark. Its a 36" with a 12.5HP Kohler Command Pro series motor. I was wondering if someone could help me figure out the year model. The best I can tell is the following:

Model # V36 - 12.5KO - 5

Serial Number : 86872 (maybe 88872, kinda hard to tell the second number.

If anyone can tell me what year this is I would greatly appreciate it. Also if anyone can give me an idea of what this mowor is worth. Thanks in advance for any help

Congratulations! That is a 1993 model Viking 5-speed. The Viking 5-speed was a really good machine for us for many years. The drive system performed exceptionally well (for a gear drive) in wet conditions and in reverse. Because of it's design it doesn't "free wheel" when traveling down hills like most gear drive machine either.

As far a what it's worth your best bet would be the guys and gals here on LS or contacting your local Exmark dealer.
