Turning it into a lawn

:confused: I am looking for some help on my yard. I have about 5 acres and it looks like a field. I have put down some miracle-gro fertilizer down without any weed killer in it and some grass seed about a month ago. I was wondering if there were any speedy secrets to make it look more like luscious green turf.

Perhaps give a local lawn care company in your area a call and see what they can do for you.

A lawn company is to expensive. The lawn looks like a soccer field. I was just wanting to know what kind of fertilizer would be best to use.

I think this might help. Go to your University Extension office in your area and have a soil sample done then you will know what your new lawn needs for food. The test up here in Vt. cost around $ 10.00.
Tell them what kind of grass seed you put down so they can work with that type.
