I just wanted to start a non Kohler bashing thread.

My 18hp Command uses .70 of a gallon a hour.

I just love the why the governer kick it under load.

Sorta like hitting the Nitrous Oxide button.

It looks like I am going to have to break down and buy a new
ZTR. I am getting a 23hp Kohler with a 62" deck a comfy seat.

With a Jrco bar and a 1 7/8 trailer ball I will be able to
rake 60" shread the thatch and plug 48" in one pass.

I still plan to use a POS 44 walkbehind to power a spreader.
There is no way fertilizer is going to get thrown all over a machine that cost way too much for a lawnmower.

This dynamic duo along with my 62" wb for backup is going to rule over all quality athletic fields in a three county area.

Lawrence, I have the 23hp kohler 60". Not enough HP for me. I now wish i had bought the 26hp efi. I plan to do that soon. Or trade this one in.

Remember folks, HP means nothing since he is never in a hurry. The longer it takes him the better. If he gets done too quick, they will think that he is cheating them. He can just put-put around in the 23hp and at 3.5mph it has plenty of power!!

Really though, 23 Kohler horsepower on a 60" is marginal, let alone this on a 62" deck Toro. Either go with the injected 26 or a LC 23 or 27.
