Metro keeps sliping out of gear?

My 48" metro keeps slipping out of gear while im using it. No matter if im in 2nd 3rd or 4th, everything seems to be just fine at one moment and then all of a sudden the mower will stop and I will have to adjust the shifter back into gear. What could the problem be? Is this an expensive fix?

If I had to guess I'd say the shifter keys are worn. You'll need to check with you dealer on the cost of the repair but I don't recall it too expensive.
