LAID OFF IN WINTER?

I am a small operation, one man usually, but was thinking of possibly changing from a sole propreitorship to an S-Corportation. There are many benefits to this, but was wondering is I could lay myself off in the winter? Is a one man corporation crazy?

Even if you incorporate, you cannot lay yourself off even though you may pay unemployment taxes for yourself. (At least not legally up here in New Hampshire ). It's kinda like you are in charge of your own destiny thing I suppose.
