Stopped by dealers today to order the hi-lift blades and bought a hitch kit, while there noticed a new mini-z with a air filter sensor and new/different type gas caps than the mini-z i purchased 1 week ago(bought it from same dealer, brand new).
I asked why changes to gas caps and why my mini-z did not have the air filter sensor?
He did not know.
Can you explain please?

The air filter sensor is only on Kohler models, due to emissions on the other engine mfg's we do not put a sensor on them.
Gas caps are just a newer vendor, different style cap.

The air filter sensors were on the mini-z's with a 19 kaw, same as I purchased....
Saw it on one 27Kohler EFI, the rest were all on the Kaw engines.
Perhaps a little confusion somewhere up the line??
Thanks

I will have to look into this tomorrow.
PJ - are the new style gas caps better - the old style tend to leak on both of my machines.
Thanks,

my 1.5 week old mini-z has the 'old' caps, and like yours, they both leak......

Update .....
I just received this info today on the air filter gauges.
Air filter gauges are starting to appear on some Kawasaki powered models of our Z's, this is due to Kawasaki making a carburetor change and it now allows us to install them and not have a emissions issue.
If your unit does not have a gauge on it, it can not be installed without causing emissions / running issues with the engine.
Gas caps can be returned to the dealer for warranty; there is a newer style cap.
