Grasshopper Drive Shaft Grease

I have a new Grasshopper 725K2. The tractor manual says to grease the drive shaft every 8 hours. I easily found all other lube sites, but cannot for the life of me find the drive shaft one. The only bearings I see on this short shaft look to be sealed bearings. The tractor manual shows the "drive shaft" as being the shaft coming out the front of kohler 25hp engine that runs the two pulleys for each drive wheel motor. The deck manual calls the sliding zert below feet platform a "power shaft". Am I just not seeing the zert because it's hidden or right in front of my face? Thanks for any and all help. PS. I mow around many trees and obstacles. My 8 hour mowing days just went to 1.5. Unbelieveable machine!! NW IN.

You need to look under the back of the engine where the drive shaft starts that runs the deck. It will be right by the PTO clutch. There should be a pillow block bearing there that has a grease fitting. I think that is what they are refering to.:)

The long shaft ( maybe 3 or 4 feet) that runs under the engine is the clutch power shaft. This is greased every 80 hours ( 2 fittings). The drive shaft is located under your feet. The grease fitting is located on the square part of the drive shaft. This is greased every 8 hours. If you need a photo, I'll post one.

Thanks for replies. Bob, is the shaft under my feet the one that slides up and down with deck movement? If so, I am good to go. If not, a picture would be nice. If this is the correct fitting the manuals must overlap as I read them. Can't give a guess on the choked smurf. Another picture?

Thats the one! It's close the the universal joint.

Those Grasshoppers really can cut the time down. I have been preaching about the outfront decks for years.
