Is it safe to say i have a bad coil on my eb7000 if when trying to start it even with a 2500rpm drill, i only get a weak spark about once 1 1/2 seconds??

Did you check for a bad switch? We just had a customer bring back a coil for a Stihl that he had us order saying it too was bad. We checked his saw just to find out the old coil was good as well as the new coil. It was a bad kill switch(pinched wire)

new coil is $40, i tried it with the switch bypassed and still got a weak and erratic spark...
