Here's another of the inside. Vortex spray-in lining, GridIron Trimmer racks, e-track for the rest of the "junk"... I painted the walls white to brighten it up in there. Makes a big difference...

jwingfield2k,

Here's a close-up of the truck. Numbers are on the bed under the rail. Not really happy w/ the placement and I'm going to have the installer move them down...

Quite a transformation they both went through from all white to all-right! What did the paint job and interior trailor customization cost? Oh, and what size trailer is that?

C Man

A friend does mobile Vortex linings, so he gave me a pretty good deal to spray the truck/trailer. He also painted the interior white before spraying the lining. He's got my shelves tonight and spraying those, too.

All-in-all, well worth the money! I had him spray a 2' cove all the way around the trailer so I can hose it down when I need to. On top of that, it helps prevent chips and dings from equipment. Before buying an enclosed, I had seen a number of landscape (enclosed) trailers, and the interior plywood was beat up pretty good. This lining is a savior! I've dropped the drum of my aerator more than a few times and those pluggers haven't even made a dent in the floor!

The trailer is an 8.5x16 car hauler. I thought it would be overkill, but it is terrific. I'm very glad I didn't go w/ the typical 7' width setup, it would be too pinched. In addition, the car hauler has a little dove tail in the back which makes for excellent height clearance (I'm 6'3" and clear easily standing straight up).

My dealer gave me a good deal on the GridIron, and I bought the e-track system from http://www.etrackstorage.com/

The e-track was a little more than I had planned on spending, but having the versitility of changing things around w/out having to drill holes outweighs the cost. If I want to change configuration, add accessories, etc., it's a snap. I added track along the bottom wall to provide tie down points when needed (if I have bikes, toys, rental equipment, etc.).

Let me know if you have more questions.

I like the looks of that Ferris 36" SD mower in there. Are there any big brothers for it like a 52" or so? That is a very attractive looking rig too. Enjoy!

36" Ferris? Why, that's nothing less than a 48"! I'm happy w/ it and if I get a few more residential accounts, I might go out and get their 32" Hydro. I demoed it and really liked it.

nice graphics and paint job, but I have to rain on your parade. Why two numbers, one mobile and one the main business? Too me it would make better sense to just have 10 numbers in much larger sizes. Easier for people to see and write down going down the road. just my opinion, obviously. could you enlighten me as to the two phone numbers instead of one?

Awesome set up!! But the thing is, with a rig so nice like have, I'd be scared to work in it, might get a scrarch or a dent!! Or get lime dust on it. I'd make my amigo take off his shoes.
Definitely an eye grabber though:eek:

I agree! I really like the setup, you should really get some attention riding down the road with that, if not from new customers then from other LCO's.

I have two numbers because I don't want to miss a job. If I'm not at one place, I'm at the other.

NICE Is the yellow. paint, or graphics? That is nice. If you move the numbers you may want to make them bigger. In person it may be OK but in the picture it is hard to read.

I have the Line-X spray on bedliner on the inside of my enclosed trailer as well.

That was the best money I've ever spent in this business.

Hands-down the best looking rig I have seen to date. Do you find it helps the phone ring? Just wondering what the impact of an investment like that has on your business growth.

smlavin,

I put advertising money into the trailer v. expensive yellow pages this year. I have been called and stopped a number of times in regards to the trailer and have landed two residential landscape installation jobs. I think that makes it worth it.

Is that a V-8 or V-10?

randallwise
06-02-2004, 12:26 AM
It's a V8 Power Choke Diesel. 3/4 ton. Had I known I'd get so many installation jobs right off the bat, I would have held out for a 1 ton or greater w/ a dump bed.

Maybe next year I'll add that to the fleet (he dreams).
