Tiny Tach battery replacment?

Always planned to just buy another Tiny Tach after the 5-year battery ran out, but just out of curiosity is the battery replaceable?

I did not know and you got me thanking so I did so checking. I went to the tiny tach web site and they say it is NOT replaceable because it is part of the casing. Now on other things I have replaced non-replacable batteries before and if you were real careful about opening the case you may be able to. Once the battery is dead it is no good any more so what do you have to lose by trying.
